FS1College football analyst Danny Kanell is about as anti-SEC as it gets. He’s also been a huge advocate of UCF getting a shot at playing for a national championship. Predictably, the Fiesta Bowl is not going well for him on Twitter.UCF, which entered the Fiesta Bowl contest against LSU with a 12-0 record, fell to the Tigers. While the final score was a respectable 40-32, it wasn’t as competitive as it looked. LSU out-gained UCF 555-250 in terms of yardage.Kanell’s mentions are on fire. UCF going down to an SEC team has a lot of people giving Kanell a piece of their mind.Check it out:Can we all agree that whoever loses the Fiesta Bowl won’t use any lame excuses?? Oh wait I forgot what we’re dealing with— Danny Kanell (@dannykanell) January 1, 2019 pic.twitter.com/kqa7RtRHPm— Brad Logan (@BradLoganCOTE) January 1, 2019UCF played an SEC team on the field and lost!! On to your next set of excuses DK? The SEC IS the best conf in the country year in and tear out top to bottom. I respect your views cause you played the game at the highest level but this SEC bias is old find another story line!!#SEC— Robert D Leusenring (@dawg5380) January 1, 2019Couldn’t beat a depleted LSU team and got drilled today. We can now move on from the UCF whining banter— joose (@JoosePear) January 1, 2019Can we stop all of this “UCF deserves to be in the CFP” nonsense now?— Michael Cash (@mpcash) January 1, 2019Wonder oh Danny boy will come up with for catching this L— Alex Galvan (@galvini1979) January 1, 2019 pic.twitter.com/CegbEUi8Ne— Drew (@apkidd2) January 1, 2019The loss likely damages UCF’s future College Football Playoff chances as well. After all, it was the win over Auburn a year ago that had many thinking the Knights could compete with the big boys.Kanell, after the game, had a different take on Twitter.Gritty win for LSU. Joe Burrow tough as nails. UCF had the entire SEC sweating that game with their Backup QB. Absolutely proved they belong. Again.— Danny Kanell (@dannykanell) January 1, 2019LSU, with the win, finishes the season with a 10-3 record.Kanell will likely take it in stride. This isn’t the first time he’s been crushed on Twitter for an unpopular opinion.
