The decision to bench Kelly Bryant in favor of Lawrence made headlines after Bryant announced his decision to transfer.On Saturday afternoon, Clemson took on Syracuse – the program that shocked the Tigers during the 2017 season. Lawrence saw the field for the first time as a starter early in the first quarter.Facing a 3-0 deficit, Lawrence completed his first pass – a strike over the middle. However, the next snap didn’t go too well.Lawrence botched a handoff with running back Travis Etienne, leaving the ball on the turf. Clemson jumped on the ball for the game’s first turnover.Fumble!
