A new promotional video of the Croatian National Tourist Board was presented

first_imgDuring the second day of the World Travel Market (WTM), a new promotional video of the Croatian National Tourist Board was premiered as part of the Croatian stand. The showing of the video was attended by about 200 participants, among whom were numerous partners, co-exhibitors and representatives of foreign and domestic media. The gathered were greeted by the Minister of Tourism Gari Cappelli, the Director of the Main Office of the CNTB Kristjan Staničić and Barbara Mesić, the Chief Advisor to the Minister of Tourism. On that occasion, they emphasized the importance of new promotional activities and materials, but also the importance of the UK market for overall Croatian tourist flows.Thus, Director Staničić emphasized that all necessary activities will be realized on the UK market in 2018 with the aim of maintaining Croatia’s position as one of the most sought-after destinations among British tourists. As he said, the excellent results of tourist traffic, ie the potentials that Croatia has in this important market, are recognized by numerous partners, including Jet2com, EasyJet, British Airways, TUI and Thomas Cook. “In addition to the new flights, of which there were as many as 21 this year, in 2018 there will be at least four new scheduled and four charter flights, which is the result of long-term lobbying with airlines, as well as good seat occupancy this year. Therefore, there is a further upward trend and we can expect a significant increase in traffic from this market, which is confirmed by all previous information from travel organizers, who are generally satisfied with this year’s sales, but also early booking for 2018. However, although sales for next year are very started well, a bigger wave of booking is expected in January and February, after the Christmas and New Year holidays “, he said director Staničić, adding that new promotional materials, such as the presented video, will be an important factor in the further branding of Croatian tourism.The new promotional video was shot at various recognizable locations in Croatia and features 10 celebrities from the world of sports and art, including Luka Modrić, Иван Ракитић, Mario Mandžukić, Mateo Kovačić, Dejan Lovren, Dario Šarić, Marin Čilić, 2Cellos, Максим Мрвица, and Zrinka Cvitešić. The director of the video is director and screenwriter Nevio Marasović, and the partner in the project is the agency BBDO Zagreb, while the cost of the video was 700.000 kuna.An additional significance of the entire project is its humanitarian character. Namely, the Croatian National Tourist Board will provide the amount of HRK 500.000,00 for humanitarian purposes, so each of the participants in the video will have the opportunity to donate the amount of HRK 50.000,00 for a certain association that helps sick children with its work and activities.  The promotional video was presented as part of the “Wine & Cheese meetup” organized by the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, so many guests had the opportunity to taste and enjoy top Croatian cheeses and wines of the brand Vina Croatia- vina mosaica. On that occasion, Croatia presented itself as a country of top eno-gastronomic delicacies and cordial hosts.With this promotional video, Croatia wants to further position itself on the international market through celebrities and successful personalities, and then to the major sporting events that follow in the coming year, such as XXIII. Winter Olympics in Korea, World Cup in football in Russia and European Championship in handball in Croatia.
