Gibson comes to this new role from East Carolina University, where she served as the Associate Dean for Student & Faculty Development.Gibson has been with the East Carolina University for more than 16 years, taking on a number of roles in the institution during that time. During that time, she has served as a chair and member of the University Budget Committee, a member of the Office of Faculty Excellence Advisory Council, a member of the Sedona Replacement Executive Committee and for the Graduate Programs to Serve Military Population Committee. “We believe Dr. Gibson is the right person to lead our world-class business school in providing opportunities for our students to transform their lives,” Provost Dr. John Humphreys said. “Also, as a member of the university academic leadership team, she will play an integral role in shaping the direction of academic affairs more broadly on our campus.”Gibson has a long and demonstrated history within the business world, having authored or co-authored more than 35 peer-reviewed journal articles. She has also provided human resources-related consulting to State Form Insurance agencies throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
