We’ve all missed that during the pandemic, and the sooner we can get at least some of our sports, and I think the one eligible to begin first would be baseball. Freshman Asa Goldstock named starting goalkeeper for Syracuse

first_imgFreshman goalkeeper Asa Goldstock has been named the starting goalkeeper for Syracuse, head coach Gary Gait said on Wednesday. After months of practice and scrimmages, Gait announced the decision to his team earlier this week.“Coming in I felt pressure,” Goldstock said. “I was a little nervous to see where I would stand, but I’ve grown to be in a family and the pressure is off a little bit.”The No. 3 nation’s recruit, per Inside Lacrosse, was a 2016 US Lacrosse All-American and two-time USA Today All-American.“We have confidence that she will be able to play well for us and handle our defense,” Gait said.Goldstock replaces graduated-senior Allie Murray, who recorded a 38 percent save percentage and went 18-6 in net.
