£22m Tottenham target ‘wants to leave Bayer Leverkusen’, talkSPORT told

first_imgTottenham target Son Heung-Min wants to leave Bayer Leverkusen and will complete a £22million move to White Hart Lane ‘within the next couple of days’, talkSPORT have been told.Spurs have turned their attention to the South Korean international after having two bids rejected by West Brom for England Under-21 starlet Saido Berahino. The north London side were reportedly not prepared to match the Baggies’ £25m valuation for the young forward, so have instead moved ahead with a deal for Son, who has been a hit in the Bundesliga. And, according to German footbal correspondent Olly Knaack, the lively forward’s five-season spell in Germany is set to come to an end, with Leverkusen keen to cash in.He told Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “Son’s agent has made it clear that he wants to leave and will leave Leverkusen, so he will be with Tottenham within the next couple of days,“He’s very skilful and very fast. He scored 41 goals in 135 Bundesliga games and can make a difference in a game and in the Tottenham squad.“I’m not sure he’s physically strong enough for the Premier League yet, but of course Leverkusen will sell if a club throws that amount of money at them.“They paid €10million – around £8m – for him two years ago, and now it’s about three times the amount they are getting, so they are cashing in.”last_img read more
